The Bureau of Labor Statistics found that the average starting salaries for high-level information technology managers ranged from $88,240 to $141,890. A 2010 survey from PayScale.com stated that starting salary offers for those with an MBA, a technical undergraduate degree, and 1 year or less of experience averaged $68,314; for those with a master’s degree in management information systems/business data processing, $58,432.
