Whats the negotiation process like to bring in a star like that?
Well, you’re dealing with a studio that’s looking at an Oscar campaign. And just the week before we had had a public screening of Fahrenheit 9/11 with Michael Moore, and that was the same agency doing both Oscar campaigns. So since the Michael Moore event worked so well, they wanted to do it with Leo DiCaprio, too. It happened that quickly! All in one week! That was a very tight turnaround. We have people in the industry who know that this is a theater that can give the film a nice presentation, they don’t have to worry about an audience being thereand sometimes they ask us to invite members of the Academy because a number of them do reside in the Bay Areaand they also know that we can pull off an event.
