The song is called “My City Was Gone” and it’s from the Learning To Crawl album. Many people look for it on The Singles, but since it was originally the b-side for “Back On The Chain Gang”, the record company didn’t consider it a single. However, it became so popular in America that when Warner Brothers released the Pretenders “back-to-back hits” 45s, Chain Gang was issued with its original b-side, “My City Was Gone”.
