Whats the name of the secret society that opposed the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920s?
The secret society that was formed in opposition to the Ku Klux Klan was called the Order of Anti-Poke Noses. No joke – I’m not making that up! Came across it in a book by Michael Streeter – Behind Closed Doors (published 2008 by New Holland Publishers UK), chapter 5 – Magic, Hate and the Old Gods, page 144. By virtue of the fact they were against any organisation that attended to everyone else’s business but its own, it’s not surprising they didn’t last very long! Either that or the Ku Klux Klan got to them?
