Whats the most important specific action(s) you take to identify top-caliber recruits?
Identifying potential student-athletes is at the heart of any program’s success. Having talented coaches is important to any program’s success, but having the horses to run in the race is critical. Here at Hopkins, just like any other top Division I program, we work very hard at recruiting and invest quite a bit of time. The most important thing we can do as coaches is to be out there. To find the best players you need to get out to as many camps, tournaments, all star games, etc. as possible. It is also important to get to different areas. In my opinion, to see a young man in person is much more beneficial than seeing him on tape.
