I too recall reading a news report about a couple who, knowing they were brother and sister, fell in love and married. (They were separated as toddlers and raised separately but found each other as adults.) They have produced children and the children, I believe, have been taken away. Then there was another couple who found out after they married that they were brother and sister. They divorced immediately. Good grief. Just the thought of having sex with my brother makes me want to puke. Incest in many areas is illegal but I don’t know if it would be prosecuted if no children were involved. If, for example, a married brother and sister were both sterile (hence unable to produce children at risk), would the authorities still prosecute? Hard to say.
