If you take this route, we recommend mentioning it discretely to your immediate supervisor to see what he/she thinks. Before you can make the transition to subcontractor, however, you need to be up to step 18. You need to be registered on CCR before you can do governmentt contracting work, and you need all the stuff before step 18 before you can complete step 18.
