Whats the maximum # of active torrents that is allowed here?
Members (these are brand new members or people who have been demoted for excessive downloading without sharing back) may have 2 open torrents at any time, Valued Members may have 12 and Audio Liberation Activists may have 20. This number includes torrents that are both uploading and downloading. This is automatically enforced by the tracker and if your client attempts to open more than this then they won’t be allowed to connect. This is because the server doesn’t have unlimited capabilities. We have 10,000 members and if the number of active torrents was not limited the server load would quickly get out of hand. Realistically speaking, unless you’ve got FIOS or a T1 connection there’s no reason you would want more than four or five torrents running at a time anyway.
