Don’t know what town you live in but there are youth shelters, not the nicest of places but if your being abused in some way probably better than where you are. You don’t mention your age, if your younger than 16 you will have issues finding a place to live on your own, even at 16/17/18 finding a place you can afford and that will allow you to rent will be difficult if not impossible. 18 is the legal age to vote, see restricted movies and buy cigarettes. 19 is the age for drinking. I believe that you can move out when you are 18 legally, however if circumstances are difficult earlier is permissible but you have to be signed off or “emancipated” by your parents. Prior to moving you will have to have first and last months rent, deposits for your electricity, telephone, cable and Internet and a guarantee for most of those too… many want as much as $250.00 down. I suggest you talk to your counsellor at school… see if they can help to point you to a free “Provincially” paid for counsell
