Whats the inspiration for the new album, the Princess Superstar collaboration, and the remix collection?
Since the first album came out in 2005, I’ve toured constantly and played lots of festivals. All that travelling, not to mention the artists I have met along the way, have really inspired me. As a result there’s been lots of ideas in my head for a while – I just needed the right time for them to materialise. The single came about because Princess Superstar has always liked the track ‘Monday Morning’ and wanted to do some vocals for it. So we worked together, and a nice little release has come out of it. With the remix album, I wanted to show that some of my tracks from the last ten years could still be fresh and relevant now with the right remix. All the remixers have been supporting the tracks for a long time and were thrilled to contribute their work to this project. What process do you go through in creating a track? That varies from track to track. Sometimes it starts with just a bassline I am thinking of. Sometimes it’s the vocals or a hookline. Which artists influence your work?
