Whats the independent and dependant variable in this experiment and how to indentify the source of error?????

Independent variable is the “cue” being given to the subject for when the stick is being dropped; visual, audible, or tactile cueing. Dependent variable is the measurement of where the subject grabs the stick during each test. Sources of error could include “practice effect”…letting one subject practice one or more of the test conditions, but not letting another subject practice. Also, it would be useful to shuffle the presentation of the test conditions among subjects, to deal with the practice effect within each subject–let some subjects test visual/auditory/tactile, others auditory/tactile/visual, others tactile/visual/auditory, etc.
