What’s the importance of having a decent backup goalie?
Other than obviously having to step in when the number one goalie is injured, he will also have to step in when the number one is tired. Playing a tired goalie can see him leaking in goals left, right and centre. Thus it is very important to check the goalie’s condition before every game. What sort of condition rating is regarded as tired for a goalie? Personally, I play it safe and will play the backup if the number one is any less than 93%. Others won’t play the backup until the number one is in the 80’s. I suggest experimenting.
