This is a general agreement made thousands of years ago. It’s premise is that immortal beings should never have exsisted and therefore should not be allowed to affect the course of human events. Things like day jobs and buying groceries do not significantly affect human events (since humans do this all the time). Killing humans or becoming a major political leader are considered interference.
