What’s the ideal age to start using Tearless Discipline?
Children are amazingly perceptive—even at very early ages. Before children understand spoken language, they are capable of understanding the general idea of what we are saying to them. Our experience strongly suggests that Tearless Discipline is effective starting at one year of age. Though we generally recommend parents should learn about Tearless Discipline before their children start walking, research has not indicated an “ideal age”. Tearless Discipline will improve your relationship with your children whether they are toddlers or teenagers. The only certainty is this: starting Tearless Discipline now is better than starting later.
