Whats the huge bright star-like thing in the sky?
It’s very hard to answer questions like this. I never know what people mean when they describe something in the sky as “huge” or “big,’ since nothing in the sky appears larger than a point of light except the Sun and the Moon. I usually assume that you’re referring to brightness rather than size, but it would really help if you could be clear about this. It also helps to know where you are located, since people in different locations see different aspects of the sky. Also, what time was this, and what direction and altitude was the object? There are thousands of objects in the sky. So, here’s my guess based on your vague question. Probably you’re referring to the planet Venus, which is currently extremely bright (but not large!) in the southwestern sky for an hour or two after sunset.
