Whats the history and mission of the club?
This club was has been at Greeley Weld County Airport for over 30 years. Our club’s purpose, then and now, is stated in our bylaws: “To provide for its members convenient safer flying at economical rates.” Originally operated as Aerowest Flying Club it was owned by two members each holding 1/3 of the shares and 60 members holding the other 1/3 of the shares. In 1995 the members bought out the two majority stockholders and all members became equal stock holders and the club became Blue Sky Flyers, Inc. We believe that as a fleet, our IFR-certified C 172’s (2), Archer, and C 182 offer a broad choice of aircraft for excellent mission suitability. The fleet accommodates low-cost training or currency flying, speed, range and payload for cross-countries, and appropriate aircraft for most of the commonly sought ratings and certificates.
