Whats the grip like on a Fisher space pen?
I have a stainless steel Jotter that I like because it’s small and doesn’t take up much space in my pocket, but I found the Parker cartridge to not be fine enough or smooth enough (I write SUPER small – like a 2 point or so), and so I switched it out for an Itoya hybrid gel ink cartridge with a super-fine tip and it’s great, but yeah, after maybe an hour of writing, my hand hurts. I don’t like rubberized or silicone grips because they eventually discolor, get gooey, look/feel gross, etc. I spend on average 2-5 hours a day straight using a pen since I write and draw, so this is all a big deal to me. I have an AWESOME pen that was handmade by a penmaker who sells at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. It’s very heavy, has a contoured “grip” area, and is made of cocobolo wood. I like wood pens because they’re porous and the surface breathes and gives a decent grip, but doesn’t get all gross.
