Whats the good but also cheap hotel along the strip in Las Vegas?
It all depends on your level of “cheap”… I have stayed in rooms in Motel 6’s and been perfectly happy with them, but two nights in the Imperial Palace nearly killed me. There are a number of reasons not to stay there, including the smell of despair that gets on your clothes and follows you home. It’s not good… I’d check travel sites like Travelzoo.com and such for good deals… there is generally ONE hotel that will offer something. If you are travelling during the week, the rates are significantly cheaper than the weekend, and availability is much better. Again – with the cheap is relative thing… the room at the Imperial Palace was $119 a night – the absolute least expensive room we could find all along the strip… the next cheapest was $179 a night @ Excaliber. If I had it to do over again, I’d spend the extra cash.
