What’s the good and bad about the Scientific Revolution and The Enlightenment?
I think the good is that we now have better housing, more access to heating for our homes, and cooling too, we have electricity for lighting, we have better and faster means of communication and disseminating information, perhaps we are able to produce more food and cleaner water, and we have more opportunity and access to more and different kinds of education that broaden our minds and experiences. We are able to travel around the world and see it all if we have the means. We have access to new medical discoveries, the life span of the human race is now almost double what it was in some countries. We have more enhanced forms of entertainment. On the bad side, we have more polution, greater ethical questions and challenges in dealing with our new found technologies. We have more devestating and brutal weapons. We may have added more confusion and stress to our lives because of the huge amounts of information and the many new choices we now have. The family unit may have suffered and be
