Although, I think deducting it is not going to get you anywhere. If they don’t want to pick up their clothes, etc. then they’ll learn they don’t have to if they don’t want the money. It should be a reward for the things they do accomplish and help out with. Also, a note: if they earned, let them spend it on whatever they choose, even if it seems foolish to you. My mom never let me buy those plastic make-up/jewelry sets and now I am TERRIBLE with money! And, they’ll eventually learn that the stuff breaks, and it’s better to save for something you really want, something I am not capable of today.
