This is a good question cause alot of people I know think Web Design and Graphic Design fall into the same category. I’m a web designer – I use Photoshop to design websites using all Photoshop tools, then I would take that design and implement it into HTML/CSS and any other programming language necessary. Graphic design is a whole other kettle of fish. Graphic designers usually use Illustrator, and they design things for print like flyers, business cards, brochures etc. Although some do designs for web as well, but the majority of them wouldn’t code them into HTML/CSS etc. I got asked a while ago to design a flyer, because me being a web designer I must obviously be able to design a flyer…. not! I’m useless when it comes to stuff like that and it annoys me when people assume I’m a Graphic Designer just because I’m a Web Designer. They’re not the same thing.
