Whats the different between Tax credits and Child benefit?
O.k first as people have said child benefit is available for everyone, when it comes to child tax credits. (be aware credits are based on the previous years earnings not current year) so if you work and your partner is a stay at home mum/dad he will get child tax credits because the government class child rearing as a full time job.. the main worker will also get child tax credits for 1 year if he was unemployeed the previous year, else he will get working tax credits…
