Whats the different between a therapist and a psychologist?

A therapist is trained to access, diagnose and treat individuals, children, teens, partners and families.  They help their patients with personal goals and provide problem solving techniques and support towards those goals.  A psychologist diagnoses a patient by determining what is best for their client through assessment.

The main difference between a therapist and a psychologist is simple. A therapist is someone who will listen to your issues, concerns, etc and provide you with feedback, they do not prescribe medications. A psychologist does the above through a more scientific means and can prescribe medications.
