Whats the difference from the normal store bought mushrooms from the illegal shrooms?
OK – let’s get it out of the way – you refer to them as “illegal..” – and they are so “get away with it” has little to do with the possibility of being able to grow it. Keep in mind before you go experiementing that most mushrooms are poisonous – never eat what you do not know – seriously. Short version: they are inherently different varieties as you cannot make a button mushroom or a shitake mushroom a ‘shroom based on how you grow the spores, etc. Long version: All mushrooms are inherently fungus. Think of them as being varieties of berries if you will. Some berries are delicious and cultivated (grown on farms in controlled conditions). Others are grown wild and require little attention other than harvesting. Others are completely poisonous and will kill you on the spot – no BS. Same goes for mushrooms. Look on your lawn or in the woods and you will find a variety of mushrooms growing. Many are poisonous (never eat a mushroom without knowing what it is) and some are likely edible, so
Storebought mushrooms are edible, delicious varieties that are grown under controlled conditions and labeled by type. So-called “shrooms” are wild mushrooms that are toxic. That is the reason they cause hallucinations. Most are toxic enough to cause hallucinations and vomiting, but not enough to kill you.
