Whats the difference between wax and sealant?
Carnauba is used as a primary ingredient in most conventional waxes. Carnauba is harvested from the leaves of a palm tree specific to the northern states of Brazil. The wax is created naturally to repel water and protect the leaves from the harsh equatorial sun, perfect for protecting the paint on your car. The best waxes use pure white Brazilian carnauba, the result of an instensive refinement process. The only drawback to carnauba is it’s durability, when applied correctly you should expect about slightly less than 2 months of protection and shine. Sealants are a modern creation relying on synthetic polymers to cross-link and bond to your paint, creating a super slick finish that will last for about 6-8 months. Although lacking in shine when compared to traditional waxes, innovative new sealants are drasticly shortening the gap.
