the industry standard nowadays is the new TermLab mic. this is considered the most accurate mic out there and those who are heavy into the SPL circuit will disregard numbers from other mics. in comparison to the new TL, the other mics rank as follows: the linear X is about -2 dB, the old TL is about -1dB, old Audiocontrol is about +5dB, new Audiocontrol is about +2dB.
