Whats the difference between translation and interpretation?
In common usage, translation refers to the act of changing written words from one language to another and interpretation refers to the act of changing spoken words from one language to another. Many people dislike the term ‘translation’ because it sounds like something formulaic that a computer can do, when the reality is that good translation is much more of an art than a science.
