Whats the difference between training and coaching?

0

Training is usually based in a classroom and is an interactive workshop for between 1 and 10 people. It usually includes a presentation and group exercises. Coaching is usually done on a one to one basis honing in on individual needs and requirements. Coaching is always confidential and focuses on making the most of the individuals strengths and identifying and improving weaknesses. For example, one of our clients recently arranged 7 days training followed by 7 days coaching. The training taught the basic principles of telephone selling, the coaching included the trainer sitting in with the delegates for 2 hour slots, as they called real clients. The trainer analysed the calls and gave individual feedback and targets. This blended approach ensures that the principles taught in the classroom are making the transition to the working environment. For more information please do not hesitate to contact us.
