Whats the difference between this and appearing in such a spectacle as The Witches of Eastwick?
Each are equally valid but so different. Witches called for another technique, a slightly heightened version of performing. This show is far more exposing and a smaller approach to the work is needed. I loved Witches. Were you surprised and disappointed by its relatively short run? I wasn’t surprised when we closed. The show was a very high standard but the financial situation after 9/11 meant the West End suffered. Other shows felt the pinch, too. We enjoyed every minute. It was the classiest production I’ve ever been involved in. With the recent Notes From New York series running for just one weekend each and Little by Little having only five performances, what’s the appeal of the short run? For me it’s an opportunity to do so many different things in the space of a year. The amount of material and new contacts we have made through Notes is astonishing.
