Whats the difference between the Short Description and the Full Bio?
The Short Description is what will be listed under your band’s name on the artist directory page and in search results. Please keep it simple – a quote from a journalist or a sentence describing your sound. The short description is also typically what search engines such as google will display in their search results, so make sure the description is relevant to your page to make sure you optimize your search capability. The Full Bio field is just what it sounds like. There’s plenty of room so feel free to list your awards, accomplishments, etc. Tip: If you are cutting and pasting your bio from a word doc, be careful of your punctuation. If when you paste it you see strange characters where your apostrophes once were, try pasting it into notepad first and cutting and pasting from there. Otherwise, just go through and change the strange characters back to the proper punctuation.
