Whats the difference between the PowerSkin and the BeautyTek?
Re: practitioners have high failure rate-
The situation with the first generation of beautyteks/powerskin is they came with a selection of probes that were made of brass, and since brass has a tendency to oxidize, when the current passed through them they were meet with an added resistance. This in return gave the beautytek wrong information when calculating the clients treatment, resulting in poor results (The following will explain)
A very low frequency electrical impulse is passed into the body. This is between 60–500µ (micro amps), roughly the same frequency as your heart beat and much lower than other conventional "micro-current" machines that function primarily as muscle stimulators
The bio-cybernetic circuit constantly updates and modulates the energy transfer.
Unique bio-cybernetic control – the beautytek records the skin’s resistance, internal and external cell resistance, the depth of the tissue, the cell wall thickness and the polarity (electrical charge) of the cells.
The system’s artificial intelligence,(algorithms), uses these records to supply the correct voltage, frequency and intensity of the soothing current. Specially formulated electrolyte treatment gels (Now Paraben Free) are applied to the skin and nutrients are naturally absorbed into the body during treatment.
The beautytek incorporates the amount of known resistance of non oxidized brass probes and the electrolytes it encounters before reading the body’s tissue. (For the sake of argument let’s use a factor of 100) This reading of 100 is then taken into consideration when the beautytek receives the information from your client’s body and produces a near perfect treatment algorithm. If the practitioner is using oxidized probes and these readings are 125, the beautytek will still use the 100 number in its calculations and will deliver an incorrect treatment protocol. Now the beautytek reads your tissue approx 900 times a second and sends a treatment protocol in real time back to the body 900 times a second. As you can see when this error is compounded 900 time s a second, this can explain why some practitioners are getting poor results.
This problem was rectified with the 2nd generation beautytek, as the brass probes were replaced with non oxidizing chrome probes and the beautytek algorithms modified accordingly.
In saying that the next generation beautytek (3rd) has what they refer to as smart probes
- Microchip controlled probe to ensure the use of the right probe
- Microchip controlled probe to ensure the use of the right electrolyte Audio-visual
- loopback procedure to ensure proper skin contact and efficient connectivity
Body Analyzing software is now also available to the operator, so if the client is slow in responding to treatments, it can be identified and new protocols can be administered, all with the bio feedback technology.
There is no difference in the equipment. The name change was due to a similar business with a similar name already in use in the US market. There can however, be a tremendous difference in the results seen between practitioners. One practitioner has a 75% failure rate and two other locations are inactive which I can only assume is for similar reasons. This is NOT a magic wand and therefore the skills and knowledge of the practitioner to properly identify the right candidates as good responders is essential as well as knowing what to do to remedy this and to enhance their results.
