The ds lite is the newer one. I have a ds lite and i’ve used a regular ds before. In my opinion the ds lite looks nicer (sleeker) and is more comfortable to use since it’s literally lighter. I’m not sure if there is a difference in graphics, but if there is i would assume the ds lite has better one as it is the newer one. Also the new ds internet card, which gives the ds capability to browse the internet, I think is only compatible with the newer ds lite. I’m not sure which is cheaper, but i don’t think you can get a new ds original, just a refurbished one.
