The City of Chicago Farmer’s Markets are operated by the Mayor’s Office of Special Events. There are about 30 different markets across the city. Chicago’s Green City Market is a private market run by a board of directors. The Green City Market is in just one location, twice a week and specializes in organic & sustainable products.
