What’s the difference between the GALILEO database and the Internet?
There are over 200 full-text articles from over 27,000 magazines, newspapers, journals and e-books available in the GALILEO database. You have the option to select articles that are from scholarly or peer-reviewed journals. They have been reviewed by experts in the subject area and the content is trustworthy. Information available on the Internet can be posted by anyone. They may not be knowledgeable about a particular topic or may have a bias in their viewpoint. The web site may not contain accurate information or data or have been updated recently. If you do go to a web site, look for an address that has a .edu, .org., or .gov extension.
