Whats the difference between the Electronic Emissary and other telementoring services and projects?
Most telementoring services support one-to-one communication between mentors and protèges’ that happen outside of the school day and that address topics not covered in the school curriculum. In contrast, the Electronic Emissary focuses upon user-designed, curriculum-based projects that are either integrated into classroom-based learning, or that supplement curriculum-based and/orcareer-focused learning done at home. Also, the Emissary is one of very few telementoring projects that provides active, interactive, individualized project facilitation, from project design/planning through implementation and evaluation of project work.
