Whats the difference between the EIFSmart Contractor seal and the AWCI certification awarded to individuals?
They are definitely different – but completely linked. The EIFSmart Contractor seal is awarded to companies that have met the requirements and completed the application to become an EIFSmart Contractor. One of those requirements is that 40 percent or more of a companys EIFS work force must hold a current AWCI certification. An AWCI certification is awarded to individuals who have successfully completed the education program and passed an objective examination. The individual certifications come in three categories: Certified EIFS Mechanic (CEM); Certified EIFS Inspector (CEI); and, Certified EIFS Professional (CEP).
