What’s the difference between the Colorado Equal Opportunity Initiative and the Colorado Civil Rights Initiative?
The Colorado Equal Opportunity Initiative would both prevent preferential treatment and provide for fair and modest equal opportunity programs that help level the playing field for all Coloradans in higher education, contracting, and jobs in the public sector. The so-called Colorado Civil Rights Initiative would prevent preferential treatment without allowing for any programs that provide equal opportunity, not even those that are permitted by the U.S Supreme Court under the U.S. Constitution.
