Whats the difference between the CD and DVD versions?

0

The CD version usually includes only one desktop environment, and can be used in virtually any CD drive. Some products may have more than one CD, and the number will be specified in the description. The DVD version normally includes the three major desktop environments: KDE, GNOME and Xfce. They cannot be used in all drives. To see if your drive is compatible, look for the DVD-ROM logo.

The only difference is the # of images. The DVD version contains 2 (TWO) DVD’s one with 400,000 images of Deepsky objects and another with 10,000 super hi resolution images of NGC, IC, and Messier objects. The CD contains 11,000 objects.
