Whats the difference between the Berlin Blockade and the Berlin Wall?

0

The Berlin wall was a physical barrier the Russians built to keep East Germans from leaving and going to West Germany. The Berlin Blockade was an act the Russians did to prevent the Americans, French and British from driving to their zones in Berlin. Berlin was divided into four zones but the city was inside the Russian zone in East Germany therefore when they blockaded the roads leading to it they could prevent people from driving there. The U.S. countered by flying supplies into Berlin in what came to be known as the “Berlin Airlift”.
