Whats the difference between the Berkeley High e-tree and the Parents of Teens newsletter?

Like most other school mailing lists, the BHS e-tree is for BHS affiliated folks. It’s run by the BHS PTA and parent volunteers. It is used to send out announcements about Berkeley High events and other items that are useful for the BHS community. It’s a one-way mailing list from the school to the BHS community, and is not used for discussions, opinions, advice, etc. The Parents of Teens newsletter is a discussion forum for local parents, not just in Berkeley, who have teenagers. It is a way for parents to talk to each other and get advice and recommendations about raising teenagers. PoT is not affiliated with Berkeley High School though many of our subscribers do have kids at BHS, and topics for discussion do sometimes include questions about Berkeley High School. PoT subscribers have kids at many other schools besides BHS though, so announcements that are only of interest to a particular school should go to that school’s mailing list and not to Parents of Teens.
