Whats the difference between the American Football League and the NFL?

0

The American Football League merged with the National Football League in 1970. The new league kept the name National Football League, but it was split into 2 conferences: National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The new AFL is the Arena Football League. It’s a different type of football. Much faster, slightly different rules, etc… It is easier to get on an Arena Football League team, for sure. The NFL is the cream of the crop. It’s the hardest league to break into. There are tons of semi-pro leagues that you could break into, there’s the Arena Football League, there’s the Canadian Football League. The NFL is the toughest but also the most lucrative.
