What’s the difference between the ABPMR Clinical PIP and the AAPM&R PIP?
For the ABPMR Clinical PIP, the diplomate leads a team to develop a specific project to improve an element of the practice. The area of performance improvement should impact the quality of patient care, either directly or indirectly. Baseline data collection is followed by implementation of a practice improvement intervention, followed by repeat testing to measure impact of the change. Completion of this project will demonstrate proficiency in practice-based learning/improvement and in systems-based practice. The outcomes of the project should demonstrate improvement in practice performance.
