It works in the same way the school system does, where you have public and private schools. TAFE is the public college and is funded by the government. Private colleges are not funded by the government. Because TAFE is funded by the government all marketing for the TAFE system is funded by the government. Private colleges do not have the funding to advertise the way the public system does.
