Nothing more than the words in most cases. “Exotic dancing” does not necessarily involve the removal of clothing covering the male or female genitalia, but it may. Stripping usually involves the removal of clothing that cover the genitalia, but it may not, depending on the legal jurisdiction. This can produce the ridiculous situation where a dancer leaves a tiny piece of cloth on his or her genitalia to avoid prosecution under laws that detail what a person can and cannot wear while dancing or in public.
