What’s the difference between standard clear and the extra protection clear?

• The standard clear is an auto finish clear. All helmets are clear coated 2-3 times after they’ve been airbrushed. The extra protection clear is double that. After the first coats have dried we clear coat the helmet again. For rowdy players the extra clear coat is recommended. Because it’s clear you can’t tell the difference by looking at it. Helmets with extra protection clear require more dry time. If you select the ‘add glitter’ option for your helmet it is actually receiving 1-2 extra coats of clear with the glitter so choosing ‘extra clear for added protection’ is generally overkill. • Are your paints safe for the helmets? • Yes. We use water based airbrush auto air paints by Createx. Water based paints are safe for use on plastic. Paints that contain petroleum or any petroleum product should not be used on plastic because it can weaken the structure and make the helmet unsafe for use as protective gear. The removal of manufacturer labels prior to painting voids the manufacturer
