Whats the difference between “sleep dentistry” and “sedation dentistry”?

0

One of the types of sedation dentistry that we offer at Meadows Dental Group is oral sedation dentistry. This type of sedation dentistry is sometimes referred to as “sleep dentistry” and, ironically, “conscious sedation.” The latter term, technically, is more accurate, because you don’t actually sleep during your treatment. You’re awake, but comfortable and relaxed, and afterward, you probably won’t remember much about your time in the dental chair. An hour might pass, but it will feel more like a minute.
