Whats the difference between Skulcandys Smokin Buds and Ipods default earphones?
The Skullcandy brand is just an attempt to sell using the power of “cool”. The actual product is pretty crap. I tried that “smokin’ buds” model, and they were just like any other cheap bundled pair in terms of quality. Worst of all, although they’re designed to fill the ear canal, and thus block external noise, the wiring conducts sound into the ‘phone body anytime it moves, creating an annoying rustling sound any time you move even slightly — absolutely unacceptable. “How long do (they) have?” I’m not sure what you mean, but the cord length is generous (one good feature). If you’re talking about how long they’ll last, well… I think you’ll throw them out in disgust long before they are irrepairably damaged. I was going to sell my on, but I couldn’t in good conscience, so now they’re sitting in a drawer as a backup for the backup’s backup (i.e. hopefully never to be used again).
