What’s the difference between self-paced and instructor-led?
The term self-paced applies to e-learning courses that can be taken whenever time allows, provided the course is completed within the specified 6-week time period. This type of online learning offers students the ability to quickly and easily pick up where they left off, and go directly to specific sections for review. The self-paced course is not instructor driven, but instead requires students to move through the course independently. Instructor-led e-learning is the delivery of traditional classes in a non-traditional virtual classroom setting. These courses run for a total of 12-weeks. At the beginning of each week, a new learning module is released and students may access it anytime during that week. A module typically consists of four lessons which include course learning materials, quizzes and a weekly class discussion forum.
