Whats the difference between second cousin and first cousin once removed?
There is a difference. “Removed” always means there is a generation gap, and second cousins are the same generation as you. The children of siblings are first cousins of the same generation. The children of first cousins are second cousins of the same generation. The child of my first cousin is my first cousin once removed. The child of my second cousin is my second cousin once removed. Twice removed means two generations apart, etc.
