Whats the difference between rowing on the water in Florida as opposed to New York?
Forida was way warmer, but thankfully we have water that doesn’t freeze. It moves a lot, so that can be a challenge, but the nice thing about it is that it doesn’t freeze, so we were able to get out fairly early. And we weren’t out full-time. It was a couple days a week, but we had been rowing for a little bit before we went to Florida, so we had some things established before we went down there. Back [in new York], it’s always a little bit of a shock. It was 70-75 degrees everyday, and now it’s not, but this is perfectly workable weather and this is okay. There are other places where it’s still snowing, and they seem to have transitioned to it well. And we always are sensitive to the rowers being back in school. They now have this workload that comes back on them. Q: Looking at the spring season, what are your goals? A: A lot of our goals are based on us getting the most out of the group that we have.
